EXPERIENCE

Tiffany Mapp Franklin has been a member of the Parkway Board of Education since June 2022, when she was appointed by the Board to fill a vacant position.  Prior to joining the Board, Tiffany was involved in Parkway School District in several ways, starting within her children’s elementary school in 2013.  At Claymont, she worked as a library aide, volunteered in the classrooms, and was on the PTO’s Trivia Night committee for two years before joining the PTO Board as Vice President and later, President.  Because of her activities within the school, she was asked to be on the parent selection panels for Principal and Assistant Principal positions. Tiffany was also involved in district-level activities, such as the Project Parkway Steering Committee, which reviewed and refined the 5-year strategic goals of the district, as well as the Parkway Equity Task Force, which aimed to ensure diverse and equitable measures for Parkway.

Community involvement is very important to Tiffany and, preceding her joining the Parkway School Board, she served as commissioner for the 21st (St. Louis County) Judicial Circuit Court and previously, the 22nd (St. Louis City) Judicial Circuit Court. This role is appointed by the Missouri Governor.

Currently, Tiffany is a project manager at The Boeing Company, where she oversees the planning and execution of aircraft sustainment programs for the United States Air Force. For a time before her current career, she was a math and science teacher, teaching sixth through eighth grades.  From 2018 to 2020, Tiffany had the opportunity to serve as a substitute teacher within the Parkway district, which gave her an inside look into the teachers, students, and staff at various schools.

Tiffany earned a Master of Science in Engineering Physics from the University of Virginia. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Norfolk State University with a Bachelor of Science in Physics. She lives in Manchester, MO with her husband and three children.
